Two of The Strangest Wedding Cultures

We all have a lot of traditions when it comes to weddings, some of them are the really common ones and are followed by many all around the globe, but here are few of the strange wedding cultures which I was unaware of and I am sure that you have not heard of it either.

The first strange wedding culture is known as Charivari, it takes place in France and what happens in this culture? The family of both, bride and groom gather outside of the newly-weds house, with spoons, pots, and pans, they make loud annoying voices with the help of these things and do everything, which can be considered annoying to complicate the ‘first night romantic’ thing. They try to annoy and tease the bride and groom. I am not going to lie but it sounds kind of fun, but only if it is done for a couple of minutes.

Another strange wedding culture, which I was talking about it called ‘Polterabend’, it is a culture of Germans and it happens in Germany, now what is it all about? We all have heard that the guests give gifts to bride and groom and everything, and many times it happens that it is cutlery and dishes, which they usually give, as it is a neutral gift and best for new house, but have you ever heard that the guests first give the dishes, as a gift to the newly-wed and then they smash it as well? Well, this happens in Germany, the guests smash their gift as it is considered that they are scaring the evil spirits away by making noises. Well, this wedding vulture sounds a little strange.

So, these are the two strange wedding cultures, which I was talking about, will you ever try these? There is no harm in trying though…
